Cause of red eyes?

Lately my eyes have been very red. Does anyone have any idea why this may be?
I read that it is possibly a result of vitamin a deficiency. Although I eat liver once week.

red as in blood-shot? or red as in irritated?

Yeah like blood-shot. They don't irritate me at all strangely enough.

do you take a vitamin K supplement? i read somewhere about vit. k being helpful for healing broken blood vessels (I got one in my eye a few weeks back, but it healed really quickly).
also, simple things like allergies can cause eyes to redden...... do you suffer from allergies?

My eyes are alwasy like that, blurry and bloodshot, and when I wake up feeling good ( happens really rare) I look my self in the mirror and my eyes are white as snow. So I guess good health and no allergies or inflamation show in the eyes also.
