How to Lower Elevated TSH Levels?

Got my thyroid checked.

TSH: 5.91 Normal: 0.35 - 4.94

Free T4: 16 Normal: 9 - 20

I get palpitations, jaw pain, fatigue, cold hands and feet, dizziness, pulse in the 60's.

Will doing what Peat and Danny Roddy talk about lower the levels normally over time?

How long will it take? Weeks or months?

Any foods in particular? I heard salt was helpful.

Salt will help lower adrenaline from the ongoing stress response, especially as you age.

Avoid all significant sources of polyunsaturated fats to start. It takes a while to disappear from your body (4 years total), but you'll probably feel benefits in a few months. Use coconut oil, butter, ghee, instead of the vegetable oils.

Yes, it should lower the TSH over time, but the better/faster way to lower it immediately would be to start taking thyroid hormone.

My doctors wont give me thyroid hormone which is a shame. So ill stick with the diet. Couple months you think it'll take?
increase calcium intake, eat more fruit/honey/sugar, 1 raw carrot between meals daily, more protein, sometimes aspirin to lower the inflammation, nutrient dense food, liver once a week
